To create lightness in the body, the part of the body which rests on the Earth becomes a conduit through which our energy flows down into the Earth's energy field. The Earth's energy flowing from us into the Earth is matched by similar energy flowing up from the Earth. The part of the body which has contact with the floor must root with extra force. This will create a margin, an extra force to move back up from the earth into the body to create space and lightness within. For example, in standing poses, the first re-bounce action takes place in your arches and ankles. The second in the pelvis and the third in the spinal vertebrae.
